Wedding dress created off of the wedding dress from the second acte of ALW The Phantom of the Opera.
I really wish I had a better picture of this dress...the details are amazing...if I don't say so my self...sorry.
Each ruffled layer of the skirt consist of two layers of re-embroidered lace, ruched silk ribbons, rosettes, and pearls...yah my fingers hurt after this was done.
The pattern to the dress was draped and based on my 1880's bustle dress. The bodice(with train) and skirt are two separate pieces.
I tried my best...when I made it I had this crazy dream tat it had gold lace under the white...I laughed at the time. The first time I stood in the Majestic costume room and had the dress in my hands I nearly screamed...It was my dream...but not a gold underlay but silver...Helps add dimension under all that white under the stage lights...I wanted to cry ...

Yah, I'm an actress, I have been pretty lucky and have had the chance to work several shows and gotten to get my mitts on so many pretty things...I have some great pictures. One of these days I will do stuff with them...
I also got to spend time with the POTO Movie costumes. Not as cool as the Broadway stuff by far except for a couple a notable pieces...

Ooh, sorry. This is a bit late, but the question mark in my first comment was supposed to be an exclamation point.
So you were in Phantom? Like you acted in the show? That sounds so immensely exciting. Not to mention the talent you have when it comes to costume making.
I imagine the movie costumes would surely be less the cool than the Broadway costumes.
Your work is superb!!! If you should ever find yourself in Boston, drop me a line--I'd love to do a shoot with you and your pretties!

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
